About us

Made for community

“Called to make a difference” is a Christian girls’ movement that brings Ukrainian girls in Germany together around a shared faith in Jesus Christ.

We want every girl to have people around her with whom she can talk honestly about God, share what she is going through, celebrate victories and get through the hard moments of life. We want her to know that she is accepted, heard and valued.

We believe that spiritual growth does not only happen during sermons or lessons. It also happens in friendship, in praying together, in conversations late into the evening, in supporting one another and in being ready to be there.

That is why “Called to make a difference” is more than meetings and retreats. It is a community in which we get to know God together, discover our gifts and learn to live out our faith every day.

Our story

It all began with prayer

It all began with the prayer of two sisters who shared one desire: to bring girls together in a community with room for friendship, love, support and faith in God.

We dreamed of a place where you can be yourself, seek God together, share what you are going through, be happy for one another and help each other grow.

We do not know in advance all the steps ahead of us, but we believe that God did not bring us together for nothing. We want to grow and learn together, discover our gifts and help other girls see how precious they are to God.

For us this is not just about organising meetings. It is about people, relationships and a shared faith.

The team’s first call
On 30 November 2023 our team had its first online call. We came together to pray, seek God’s guidance and think about how to begin a ministry to Ukrainian girls in Germany. That is how the story of “Called to make a difference” began.

Our team

Different, yet united by one calling

Behind “Called to make a difference” are girls who share a vision and a desire to invest in others.

Each of us has her own talents, character, ideas and strengths. And that is exactly our beauty: we are different, but we are united by our love for God and the desire to serve others.

Together we come up with new ideas, prepare meetings, organise trips and work to help “Called to make a difference” grow and bring even more girls together.

Would you like to serve with us?

We are always glad to welcome girls who want to join us and create something special together.

When we organise retreats, trips or meetings, everyone can help, suggest an idea or take on part of the work.

For us, serving is not only about who organises what. It is also about how we support one another, pray together and learn to work as a team.

We want every girl to feel: “I am needed here. I can be myself. I am part of this story too.”

What do we do?

Growing, learning and making memories together

We organise different kinds of meetings so that girls can find friends, deepen their faith, share their experience and discover their talents.

Retreats
Time to slow down, step away from everyday worries, be together, give time to God and think more deeply about our faith.
Trips and get-togethers
A chance to get to know each other better, spend time together, talk, laugh and build friendships that last beyond the events.
Learning and spiritual growth
Together we explore faith, ask questions, share our thoughts and look for ways to apply biblical truths in our lives.
Online projects
We stay in touch, share ideas and create ways to be part of the community even from a distance.

Our impact

Impact starts small

What inspires us most is seeing girls find new friends, start girls’ groups and dare to take their first step in ministry.

We believe that impact does not always begin with something big. Sometimes it is a simple conversation, a sincere prayer, a message of encouragement or being there at the right moment.

We want to pass on everything we learn and receive in this community — to our friends, families, churches and the people God places on our path.

After all, we are called not only to grow ourselves but also to help others grow.

Partnership and cooperation

We believe that together we can create more opportunities for Ukrainian girls in Germany and Europe.

That is why we are glad to get to know churches, Christian organisations, ministries and people who share our vision.

We would love to organise meetings, retreats, training and other initiatives together that help girls grow in faith and discover their calling.

We will also be glad to welcome girls who want to join our team, help organise events or share their talents and ideas.
